POSITION OVERVIEW

Abacus is seeking a Accounts Executive with 3+ years of experience to manage accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely vendor payments, and compliance with internal financial controls..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness, verify invoices against purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and enter invoices into the accounting system with proper coding.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all payable transactions; prepare and assist in financial reports related to accounts payable; reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Schedule and prepare payment runs including cheques, digital transfers, and other payment methods; ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and other obligations; communicate with vendors regarding invoice status and payment inquiries.
  • Monitor and review expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies; assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls related to the accounts payable process.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
  • Master's degree in Commerce (M. Com), Bachelor's (Hons) degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage high-volume transaction processing accurately and on time.

PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE

  • Prior experience in a CA firm is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business One or other SAP ERP systems.
  • Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods such as month-end or year-end closing cycles.
