Senior SQA Engineer

Location: Lahore
Type: Full-time

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior SQA Engineer with 3+ years of experience in manual testing, automation testing, and performance testing. The ideal candidate will ensure software quality through effective test planning, execution, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements.
  • Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium (Java/Python) or similar frameworks.
  • Conduct API testing and automation using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
  • Execute performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter or similar tools, and analyze results to identify bottlenecks.
  • Perform basic security testing, including authentication, authorization, and OWASP Top 10 checks.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using tools such as JIRA.
  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure early defect detection.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support release sign-offs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automation testing.
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks using Selenium (Java or Python) or similar tools.
  • Solid experience in API testing (REST/SOAP).
  • Mandatory experience with performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Exposure to security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar).
  • Experience with microservices, Docker, or Kubernetes environments.
