Job Summary:

Abacus is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our growing team in Lahore. The successful candidate will lead a range of client projects from inception to completion ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with high-quality standards.

This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical foundation, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. The Project Manager will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, contributing directly to the success and growth of our consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Initiation

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.

  • Conduct kickoff meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Define project tasks and allocate resources effectively.

Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Drive day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress aligns with planned objectives.

  • Monitor timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resources.

  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.

  • Utilize project management tools for tracking and reporting.

  • Maintain consistent communication with project teams and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

  • Foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

  • Provide clear, timely updates on project status, changes, and challenges.

  • Manage expectations and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

  • Lead stakeholder meetings and presentations.

Technical Insight

  • Understand key technical aspects relevant to project scope (e.g., software development, IT systems, engineering processes).

  • Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility and quality delivery.

  • Identify and resolve technical risks and constraints.

Project Closure

  • Ensure all deliverables are completed, approved, and documented.

  • Lead post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.

  • Prepare and present closure reports and ensure proper archiving.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on project management experience.

  • Proven success managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

  • Technical understanding of relevant domains (e.g., software development lifecycle, data analytics, cloud solutions).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.

  • PMP certification (or equivalent) is a strong plus.
